General Ledger
Unlike many asset management tracking systems that require separate accounting software, PLUTO is a fully integrated system that includes these features. In addition to investor transaction reporting, asset management tracking, reporting and projections, PLUTO handles all accounts payable, trial balances and financial statements, fully integrated within one system. It also includes cash balance tracking by account and a bank reconciliation process.
Multiple-entity tracking and reporting is a first-class feature in PLUTO. There is no need to close one company's books and open another company's books. Just enter the GL Entity for the transaction in question.
Journal entries can be saved as "Standard Entries" so that similar entries can be entered quickly. A "Recurrence" can also be set up so that the entry is made automatically at specified intervals.
"Trigger" entries can be set up to be generated automatically based on other entries. For instance, if an investor in a particular deal puts in capital for a capital call or receives a distribution of funds from the investment in the investment module, the transactions that are posted automatically from the capital call or distribution process to the investor records also post the cash receipt or cash disbursement in the corporate entity file if the business is maintaining the books and records for that investor.
